About Link Placement:  

When you participate in an affiliate program like this or the other many programs available - it's all about link placement. 

 

The very best place to put your link is either at the top of, or sprinkled around your "Adoptable Pets" page.  That's where people "actually go". Grocery stores always put the milk and bread in the back of the store so you have to walk through all the other yummy stuff in the store.  You will want people to see the link on the way to looking at the beautiful adoptables.  I don't know how many dozens of hours I have spent looking at the Boston Terrier rescue websites just to see all the little faces of my favorite breed - not to adopt.  So, why not get some donations from people like me?

 

The next best place is a page entitled "Shopping".  A "shopping" page will get a lot more visitors than a "fundraising page".

 

The worst place to put your links: On your "Fundraising" or "How you Can Help" or "Supporters" pages.  Tip:  If you have a fundraising page for shopping - call it "Shopping".
